This AI tool is a little more sophisticated than a simple “choose a strategy” quiz. The real instructional value is teaching students to match a learning barrier to an appropriate strategy, explain why they chose it, try it, and decide whether to keep, change, or fade the strategy.

One design feature I especially want us to keep
The most important part of this tool isn’t the 30-strategy library. It’s the reasoning loop:
What am I trying to do? → What’s getting in the way? → What strategy matches the barrier? → Why? → Try it → Did it work? → What should I do next?
That turns our AI tool from a digital strategy menu into a metacognitive coach.
And it fits beautifully with the direction we’re taking our Human-Centered AI Teaching Continuum: the technology shouldn’t make the student more dependent on the technology. It should help the student become increasingly capable of making learning decisions independently.

You are the calm in their storm. Keep showing up, keep tracking the data, and keep respecting their dignity. You’ve got this.
